Pierce Oliver Brewer, Jr. was an American actor, land developer, and professional underwater diver. He adopted the name "Capt. Kidd" after his father, Julius "Kidd" Brewer, a former award-winning coach and land developer. Growing up in Raleigh, North Carolina, Brewer, Jr. moved to Los Angeles where he became known for his appearances in the James Cameron films "Piranha II: The Spawning" (1982) and "The Abyss" (1989).
