Paul Story

Paul Story is a Senior Animation Supervisor at Wētā FX. Story has been with Wētā FX since 1996, beginning his journey on Peter Jackson’s The Frighteners. Starting out as a Rotoscope Artist, Paul was inspired by the animation team’s work on the film’s ‘Reaper’ character, sparking his ambition to become an animator.

He spent four years in Wētā FX’s creatures department, contributing to developing skeletal and muscle systems for iconic characters such as Gollum and the Cave Troll in The Lord of the Rings trilogy. His…
